How bout some privacy ma

Since the dawn of smart phones I always wondered whose bright idea it was to have text messages appear on the home screen upon receiving them. It’s for that reason that I often place my phone face down. So I’ve got my phone on the kitchen counter top and I get a text message but I don’t flip my phone up immediately. Instead, my mom looks at my phone and says “Why is your phone faced down, you’re going to scratch it! *flips over phone* Oh you got a text message. *reads text message* ‘Neill Marcelino! Hey boo!’ Boo?”

 At that point I just give my mom a look but all she does is smile like a little kid does after they do something you’ve told them specifically not to do. -__-
